Which one is the Top Domain Parking Service?

Today, a website called DomainNameWire published an article about a Top Ranked Domain Parking Service. Of course I wasn't surprised when I read. These statistics belong to domain name owners. Here is the result of survey!

Domain aftermarket and parking service Sedo took top honors for parking in the 2007 Domain Name Wire survey.

Sedo is a pioneer in domain parking and recent enhancements have made it a favorite of domain name owners. 32% of respondents in the 2007 Domain Name Wire survey selected Sedo or SedoPro as the top domain name parking service. Last year the survey broke out Sedo and SedoPro. Both services combined for only 19% of the vote last year, so Sedo is clearly picking up steam in the domain name parking business. My personal results with Sedo parking have improved drastically over the past year. In second is NameDrive, an innovative parking service that also provides sales and development services. NameDrive snagged 14% of the vote, the same as last year.

More than a third of domain name parkers continue to receive less than $10 per thousand views of their domains (RPM). In this year’s survey, 34% of domain owners reported earning less than a $10 RPM, down from 39% last year. This is a good sign for domain name owners. At the high end, more people reported earning a $70 or better RPM than did last year. This is likely due to rising click prices and competition in the parking space. As competition heats up domain parking companies are offering higher revenue shares (the percentage of revenue from Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) or Yahoo (NASDAQ: YHOO) that they pass on to domain owners) and investing in landing page designs that result in more clicks.

Domain name owners are bullish on rising RPMs for 2008. 53% think their RPMs will increase, 28% think they will stay about the same, and only 19% think RPMs will decrease.
